Now Recruiting for our Spring Session 6.2
The chorale is comprised of actors, directors, professors, stage managers, teachers, instrumentalists, drag queens, and so many other types of artists! For one night a week, this group of people comes together and volunteers their time to sing choral music.
Rehearsals will be held at Christ Church of Chicago (Tri-C for short) located at 6047 N Rockwell. We rehearse from 7:30-10pm.
Membership fees will be collected at the first rehearsal and used to pay for the music in your binder. Cash or checks made out to "Chicago Artists Chorale," and payments made via Chase QuickPay are all accepted.
Because we are a group that meets once a week, attendance at rehearsals is extremely important. However, we understand that "life happens" and to accommodate that, each singer is permitted to miss up to three rehearsals. Any singer who has a conflict with the dress rehearsal date will only perform in the concert at the discretion of the Artistic Director. In the registration form, you will be able to select the dates you know you will be absent. We ask you to notify Justin Potter of any other absences through the session.
For new members, we will be holding placements on Sunday, January 26 from 6-10pm. Sign up for a placement.
Placements will be held at Vagabond School of the Arts: 4001 N Ravenswood #504
Any new members interested in singing with the chorale are required to sing for us at a placement.
Placement appointments will consist of vocalizations to check range and sight reading exercises. You do NOT need to bring in a prepared piece.
